Applied French practise reading paper

Year 11 Applied French exam this FRIDAY at 1.15 - usual lessons 1 - 3 then early lunch unit in the canteen!!!!

I've copied and pasted ten exam questions into a Word document if you want to download it and have a go...I find it easier to savee a copy than download it - my pc keeps crashing! Download applied_french_practise_r_paper.doc 

What are we hoping to do here?

The CHHS French (MFL soon!) blog rationale...

Well, we're hoping to keep up with the times, make learning fun and more relevant and accessible to pupils, parents and teachers. As this blog develops we'd like lots of different things:

- pupils to download listening extracts - songs, videos, or even their French teacher talking!

- pupils to upload their work - writing or speaking, or possibly even little videos (of course we will ensure safety at all times before anything is posted on this blog)

- pupils to access files to help with homework tasks or revision

- pupils to look at other pupils' work and give us back "2 stars & a wish" (thanks JoeD!)

...all in all to develop the way pupils learn, consolidate and make further progress in French...creating a more independent learner who can positively review work of others and of his or her self...

...no more trekking around...

...trying to pick up bits of info...    ...more like THIS...!

Will this work?

Ok, so we're not the most up-to-date with all this tech-no-hology malarkey but I says if any of our pupils look at this cos they think it'll help then it's worth the time & effort. Many thanks to all who've provided help, training & resources - authors will be mentioned of course!

CHHS competition: If you're a CHHS pupil, tell your French teacher you've looked at this site - give them your name, form & the passcode "la plume de ma tante". A name will be pulled out of the department hat on the 19th November & a special, secret, prize will be awarded.

Keep on looking - we will adapt, develop, get bigger, better and wiser. (Well, this will!)
